Body pillows have been around for quite sometime. In most case we created them ourselves my collecting all the pillows on the bed and positioning them strategically, seeking the ever elusive comfort we all crave.

Most recently expecting mother have found relief from back pain, swelling and other discomforts that comes with the honor of childbearing. The body pillows are crafted in a way that allows the additional support need to make sleeping a little easier for expectant mothers.

The curves at the top and bottom makes lying on ones side,more comfortable and  it supports head, neck, and knees. The large size of the pillow has it pros and cons, while it does take up a little extra room, the extra size help to keep it from shifting during sleep as normal pillows do.

Some users have reported significant reduction with aches and acid reflux/heartburn pain. The body pillows has been reported as being very help to men and full size users that benefit from the extra support, helping to reduce back pain and minimize snoring. Plus the added materiel can come in very handy on cold winter nights or even summer day for lounging on the floor.

A current trend in Japan and one that is surfacing in the US is the decortating of the full size body pillows with anime characters and befriend the pillow. this could be very similair to when we were kids and had the pillows case of our favorite heroes, so of course as we have grown, so have the pillows.

Of course many of us already know the secret of a good pillow. Many couple,s when separated send pieces of worn clothing to one another and place them on pillows to feel closer to one another. My mother had my wife to place one of my shirt in my daughter's crib to help here sleep at night when i would be out of town.

Finding a good pillow can indeed be like finding a good friend, and the body pillow can definitely provide a natural, cost effective  solution to some common sleep problems. So maybe the you should consider a nice body pillow for a Valentine gift, put your picture on it of course, or maybe your significant others. A body pillow would probably make a great gift for lot of people young and old.
